Just a little update for me.

As most of you know I have been trying to lose weight for about a year now and it has been an up hill battle.  Up 2 pounds, down 3 pounds, stay the same and then up 1, down 3, etc.   It has been a huge struggle for me, as I can’t really exercise because of my back.  I have to rely on my diet or lack there of to keep the weight off.

BUT

As of Tuesday I have now lost 30 lbs! 

YES!!!

I have more to go but I am proud of myself for taking 30 off and keeping it off.  But let me tell ya keeping it off is hard hard work!! 

So pray for me as I continue this battle of the bulge.

I am the manager of my sons rep football team. And I have a wonderful friend that helps me out.

One of my duties is to over see that the boys (26 of them) are at the right place and time for practice.  Sometimes this changes with only one hour notice and I have to run around calling parents.  I really don’t mind all that I have to do,  in fact I love being with the boys.  They become one of my own children.  For most of the boys this will be their 3rd year together and my 3rd year as manager.  So needless to say some of the boys give me hugs when they see me,  play catch with me,  hang out at my house,  or just come to see how I am and check up on things with me.

I have some very interesting parents.  Some like I said have been together going on 3 years and we share in our every day lives and get together outside football.  I have some parents that are new to the team and are great they have fit right in with everyone one else.

BUT…..

I have some that seem to just want to cause problems and freak out at every thing I ask or tell them  that needs to be done.  Some of these things are even for the safety of their children.  One example is I have a mother that continuously drops her child off and does not check in with me and let me know where she will be during the practice.  Now I know some of you may not understand why a grown woman needs to be checking in but we had an incident last year where we had a father just drop his child off and leave for 2 hours and come back to pick him up.  The problem with that is

WE WERE  NOT PRACTICING THAT NIGHT AND HE LEFT HIS KID UNATTENDED FOR 2 HOURS ALONE AT THE FIELD.

Now the good news was another team from our city saw what had happened and took care of him for that 2 hours.  Even after the father was told about it he still didn’t always check in with me.

We have asked the parents to let us know where they are going to be because in case of an emergency with their child.  Football is an aggressive sport and kids do get hurt. We need to be able to find the parents fast in that kind of  case.                                                                                                                                                         I have couple of parents that do this but in this case with this mother she got upset when I asked her to let me know where she was going to be because she had already just left and went to the store.  She said well his uncle is here and so is his brother.  I said we are new to each other and  I don’t know that or them and you haven’t given me permission to talk to them about your child.  The boys safety is  my first and  only concern because God forbid something happens to your child it’s me that’s going to be in the ambulance with your child when we can’t find you because I ‘m not going to let an 11 year old that is hurt and afraid go by himself to the hospital with no support.  She still didn’t get it and was upset.  Even now when asked to show up for parent meetings she is either late or doesn’t even show up. 

Can some one explain this to me???  How can you get upset when someone is looking out for your kid and his safety?

This baffles me and I don’t get it.

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Ok so I think you get the picture that I’m just a little happy about this today.   hehehe

Now lets get through Easter and my son’s birthday and we will be great!

I have now lost….. 24 lbs!!!!!!! 

Yeah me!!!!! 

And if I lose another 1/2 lbs by tomorrow then I will be at 25lbs and 2 lbs for the week!

This up and down rollercoaster ride that I have been on has been hard!! VERY hard!!

I’m not quite at my goal weight loss for this stage that I wanted to be but  I finally think I’m doing great and am very proud of myself.   I was told this week by one of the ladies that does my weigh in’s that this was the first time she has heard me say “I can do it” .

I finally agree with her!!  It has taken me a year to get this far and I am feeling great about it!

So I thank the good Lord and all my very very special friends who have been there from the beginning  (and you know who you are!!!) that have helped in so many many ways.

So sorry I have not been writing lately.  I have had a very busy few weeks.

Lets start with me little guy.   Although his headaches have not gone away, I think we have found the major problem aside from stress at school and being bullied………….IT”S CHOCOLATE.                                                                                    Yup after changing his diet that’s the only thing that has done anything to change the headaches.   So no chocolate for him for Easter……BUT  I did go to the bulk barn and get him some carob and I will be making him some treats for him to enjoy on Easter  instead.

Football season has started again so we will be busy little beavers again! BUT the best is I get to spend time with a very dear friend again as her guy is old enough to join our team again.  YEAH ME!!!!!!!

My daughters horseback riding hasn’t stopped but the shows have. They start up again in June. She will be at the barn 3-4 times a week till the end of September.  And then lets not forget the fall fairs that she likes to go in.

Baseball season will be upon us soon as well and my middle guy will be starting his first summer season.  He can’t wait!!

As for me I will be going in June the 11 for my 4Th back surgery.  I have to stay a week and then I will use the rest of the summer to recuperate.

Things are finally looking better at the bank after my hubby’s identity was stolen a month ago. What a mess those people made of our account. Having your account frozen for almost a month was not fun let me tell you.

Well thats it for now, just a very quick update.

Please,  please tell me why is it that movie stars and athletes feel the need to make so much money off us little people?

          Lets take the movie star,  do you really think that what you do warrants you making 1-15 millions per movie.    Come on give me a break.    Yes what you do is entertaining and you work hard, I don’t dispute that (in fact I’m a movie holic) BUT why do you make so much?     And then when you do make these outrageous fees you spend it on stupid stuff like drugs,  booze,  clothes that are way over priced, porn,  hookers,  rehab because you have no control over yourself,  too many cars that you can’t possibly drive,  toys (for whatever age),  parties for your dogs,  houses that ten or more families could live in, And then to top it all off you act like stupid spoilt  children and do stuff that no normal person would act like….the list goes on and on.   

Like the movie stars athletes make way way too much money.  Take hockey for example.  For my two boys and hubby to go to a game it’s almost $300 a night.   Yeah like we can afford that….NOT.  How do you expect the little guy to enjoy the game.  I know that most athletes have a short career but that’s what EDUCATION is for.  You know get one so you have something to fall back on when your career is done.  Again you guys are just like the movie stars and get upset at us little guys for wanting to see you and be like you. 

Why can’t you make a normal amount JUST LIKE the rest of us.   I mean it’s a job just like the ones we do.   You choose to do it.   I love the fact that after you choose this profession you get upset and angry that us little people would want your autograph and picture.  

    HELLOOOO  Are you kidding me?                                                                           

                       Deal with it!!    You choose the life style!!

With that said though I know there are some pretty sick people out there that cause you pain and heart ache and try anything and everything to you and against you.   And for that I feel bad for you.

I also think that there should be more professionsal that are role models in better ways then what they are now.  Help out those who can’t help themselves.  I know that there are kids in this world that are very talented but have no way of getting out of the rut they are in because no money and no one to help them and believe in them.                                                      

But I still think that you guys make way too much money. Who knows maybe if acting and sports were just like the rest of the jobs out there then maybe just maybe people wouldn’t be so star struck.

I said maybe……

   If you are anything like me, you are fed up with winter.        

    I have had ENOUGH of the snow and want the spring to come NOW!!!!!!

We have had the MRI and it says…. 

HE’S FINE!!!!!!!!!  Yahooooooooooooooo

We still don’t know whats wrong but at least we know it’s not going to be bad.

I on the other hand found out today that I will need the 4th surgery.          It’s going to be as big as the first one he told me.  They have to take out all the  rods and screws in the back (not front ones)  Put in new rods and screws back in and around another cage that has to be added  and then fuse it all to my hips.
Yup great fun!!  NOT!!

I will be in a week this time.  So I still need to make plans for the kids’s  school and sports for them.  Hopefully ALL will work out.

Lets all say a prayer to the Good Lord that it does!!

We have been going to the doctors and having tests done. After seeing the specialist, we have changed his diet and have been keeping records on how often he gets them.  (everyday!!!)

The doctor sent us for a CT scan and said everything was fine but when the specialist saw the CT scan he said he wanted a MRI done.  

Yesterday I finally got the letter from the hospital saying his MRI wasn’t until        

MAY 2.                  

I couldn’t believe how far away it was.  So I called the hospital and asked to be put on the cancellation list.  I told the lady that I didn’t care when it was.  I only needed  one hour’s notice and I could be there.  I didn’t care if it was 3am, it  was fine with me.  I said that my son was only 10 and that he played Rep sports and she said “say no more I had kids in Rep sports as well, I understand”.

Yahoo someone who gets it!!   Then about 2 hours later she calls back to say there was a cancellation that night and could we come? 

AHHHHHHHHHHHH          Let me think………          YES!!!!!!

Wow I was a very happy camper!!!  So we had his MRI done last night and now we just have to ……….wait………  You know for the doctors to have a look.   Then type up the report.   Then send it to our doctor.   Then we get a call and then we can go and fine out whats up.

You know hurry up and wait……and wait …….and wait……and wait
